880 from fremont auto mall to like 237 by milpitas .. clogged due to traffic hahaha from like 23rd in oakland till davis st is a straight away, so there is no problem there

880 definitely. Right were it approaches Mission Blvd., the moron in people seems to come out. Those who stay in the far right lane passing up traffic and then merge at the very last moment suck the most...and yes I see plenty of WRX's pulling this BS move. Of course most of this jam is caused because of where Mission merges onto Southbound 880, if Caltrans would open up all those lanes there then alot of it would go away because the merge would be smoother....but of course that would make sense and we wouldn't want anything sensible to happen. Can't wait until 2008 when this project is complete.

280 is a joy to drive on once I'm out of San Jose. 85 would be OK if they got rid of those dam carpool lanes, but that will never happen. That highway needs to have 3 lanes of traffic open all the time, however in the meantime everyone will continue to idle along polluting the air while the far left lane is vacant. I've never had the displeasure of driving 101 regularly during rush hour, so I can't comment.

I think traffic in the bay area would improve considerably if carpool lanes were banished. People commuting out of San Jose have little options for any other method of travel, due to the genius idea of not having BART connect here. So now our tax dollars are used to build lanes that 95% of this traffic can't use?
