I ended up going to Stevens Creek and got all of the above plus a cute cashier.

I also had them program a 2009 Tribeca key for my 2005 . Now I have a 1 piece key/remote combo . Love it!

Wait a sec... You can do that? Does your car have the mobilizer? I would be so down to have the buttons on the key.

EDIT: Crap!

My key is cut differently. Kinda bummed

Ugh, stupid keys...

57497AG48A NON LASER CUT KEY

For those of you with security systems or chipped keys, LGT.com reports that these 09 keys work with their 05 LGTs on up, and we share the same fobs as them in 05, so our frequencies are all the same.

They work, they're just not perfect. The dimensions of the blade are slightly different.

Jourdan... you have the new fancy key! Feel special. Don't lose it. Ever.

It isn't just that... we can't make the key here. Subaru won't even sell me a blank. I have to order it by VIN from SOA. Sooo... you'd be without a car for a couple days.

Good. I knew it would be fine. They're always hard to use at first.

Congratulations to Steven's Creek for not only overcoming the legacy of complaints, but now getting positive recommendations!
