does reflashing the milage mean reducing it?

i dont know about the bay area offering such a service, but i know there's a company out of state, but u'd have to ship the cluster out to them, and provide a bunch of stuff to show them your actual mileage in order for them to do the change.

Its not illegal if you are not committing fraud by doing it.

There's no way it is illegal if you buy a new one and have it moddified to reflect the actual mileage.

You don't want to have a car with 10k start popping up in service records a month later with 70k...

If you find a place, let me know. I figure I'll just buy a new STi cluster and start with 0k so it's easy to add up. Plus I'll swap it at like 20k, so I can easily remember when to do what. But if I could flash it up to reflect my true vehicle mileage, I would like to.

give these guys a call?

http://www.speedometernet.com/pricelist/?step=1&id=38

$300 seems like a lot to program some numbers in, but they offer the service....

no, when u get a new one, (most of the time fore a dealership) they will write down the old mileage and add it to the new cluster.

I think the only way it can be legal is when you have to file all this paperwork with dmv
