Something cool: Flip vid cam + Duct tape + STi = THIS

No, there was no one on the road and we had people at the ends of the road and in the middle to make sure there was no traffic. I think it looks faster in the video then it actually was in real life, probably due to the camera angle. You can tell that the car is not even going to redline... Mostly shifting at around 4500-5000. You only heard one tire squeel.

I'm surprised you can hear your engine I was expecting the annoying sound of wind like most car videos. Did you do anything special for sound?

Nah man, the camera has a built in wind diffuser (whatever you call it), basically it's a complex tunnel that leads to the speaker thats built in, so when wind hits it it diffuses and doesn't directly hit the speaker... At least that's what I gather by looking at it. Like I said earlier, all I did was tape the camera to my lic plate with the lens and speaker fully exposed to the elements. I thought I was going to have to edit the video and add music to remove the sound of wind, but I was surprised when I viewed the raw footage and there was NO WIND!
Dude, you would totally benefit from this camera... Put it on your sick *** GC and go mobbing! You can take professional footage with it... For a good idea on what to do, try this:
1. Take footage of your actual car, do a 360 around it and when you put it into your video, manipulate the time it takes to make a 360 around your car, either slow or fast, but I prefer fast so it makes for a great effect.
2. Then go out and take footage from your front bumper on some road like I did
3. Repeat only mount the camera somewhere else, like inside the car allowing people to see you shift, and your RPMs and such
4. Repeat once again, only this time mount the camera behind the passenger wheel having the lens face forward, that way you get a really killer view of the wheel working in the turns and such, trust me, it's a GREAT angle.
5. Finally, take some random glamor shots of your car with some cool and strange angles to throw into the mix when you compile your entire video, like have someone stand somewhere and film you as you rip past them, then fast forward the footage in the final production to make it look as though you're going 200mph! You can do all sorts of things with the camera, and if you do what I suggested just now, you're going to have one hell of a video on your hands!
The key is different angles, none of which are standard/normal/boring angles. all of them should be cool and exciting, and you can achieve that since your camera is soooo small and you can mount (tape) it anywhere!
When you are editing, remember to keep the reel in real time, so if you use different footage clips, make sure they line up with the other clips.
I took some film classes when I was younger and used to work for Adobe doing video editing so I know a thing or two when it comes to production, that's just a simple suggestion on what you can do with this camera, and you would make some rocking videos in your GC if you followed my formula of editing. Just make sure you don't throw in some song that only YOU like, make sure the song is either well known, or universally liked, it's the key of making or breaking your video.
Tell you what, if you want to do a video shoot with me, I'd totally be down to do some filming since I have two cameras, and if you get one we'll have 3, then we can compile all the raw footage and make a beast of a film! We can include both cars too, your bad *** GC and my 07 STi... We can even make an "Evolution" concept, no relation to the evo car, I just mean a video that shows the evolution of the Impreza, or we can just stick to the plan I posted above and take some sick footage and put our names in the credits and have a cool *** youtube video for everyone to see.
I know some GREAT roads we can do this on, it'd be best of we did multiple roads instead of just one, maybe get some drifting around tight hair pins (ala hamilton), etc. Trust me, I have a great sense of production when it comes to video editing and such.
If you don't want to, I'm sure someone else in a nice car would want to do the video. Car can't be stock, it'd have to be modified exterior wise for video reasons. (modded cars can look sooooo amazing in videos, vs stock cars that are just meh)

oh and I am a film/tv major I've been very tempted to buy this camera so tempted I looked up my old ebay account info and signed in. The other cameras I was looking at was the gopro one or chasecam.
If I was really brave I would buy a car mount for my canon XL1S. Maybe if I get the production liability insurance I've been meaning to get then I'll do it.
