Some cool links for fans of Subaru History
Subaru's American History Collection tour part 1: GRAND TOURING: Journey to Subaru of America’s History Collection, Part 01 | Japanese Nostalgic Car
Part 2: GRAND TOURING: Journey to Subaru of America’s History Collection, Part 02 | Japanese Nostalgic Car
XT restoration: Subaru’s 1986 XT Turbo Restoration | Japanese Nostalgic Car
I consider myself really lucky to have personally gotten to experience a lot of these cars in their natural habitat. Not these particular cars of course, but my family had hundreds of Subarus in and out of our shop over a 10 year period, cars from '72 or so up to about '84 being the latest. We had old early 70's 4x4 wagons, sedans, had a '74 coupe that I remember with the classic script "FrontWheelDrive" emblem on the trunk. We had several "beater" cars around, like an '82 hatchback that I learned to drive in at age 10. My pops even made a stretch out of two '80 sedans. He converted non-4x4 cars for people and built custom one-off Subarus for folks out there in the boonies (northern Oregon). A lot of those cars are still running around today.

Wow nice.
I've been collecting some material for our RX.
There are more pictures on our facebook page if anybody is interested.
We are trying to be "race ready" for the December Race @ Sonoma.

Of course there is always this one on here too I wasn't sure about it at first, but I think it has become one of the more interesting builds around (though not going for historical accuracy )

Theme wise, we are gonna try to go rally style
with a little mp3-playing-computer and manequin as our co-driver to give all the helpful hints!

I grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii. Bought on Wed, head-on by a Papaya truck in my lane on Friday. Broke the engine off the tranny, bruised my leg when the shifter hit me, passenger side dash was pointed at the ground, ripped all 4 tires off the rims. I walked with bruised ribs. SUBARU STRONG.
You there right now? I am on the way. Don't wait up for me if you have been for a while. Incoming loud Bugeye.

Sorry already back at work. Went across the street to see the guys at Auto Pro Films and let them take it for a spin. Sorry I missed you, thinking about hitting up Devils Canyon after work though. Hit me up if you are interested. 650-three three tree uno two 8

Probably cannot do the DCBC thing tonight as I am on my way to pick up my pup from surgery and he needs to be cared for unfortunately. So, I will be drinkin' with my dawg tonight.
Ha! That's how it started with me and my '91 4x4 4door. Picked it up ostensibly for my wife. She hasn't even driven it for a few years. Poor little fella is like a homeless pet Suby now, just kicking around where I can park it.
