I not much of a HANG OUT in a parking lot guy with a bunch of other car owners. But the people i crew around with own all kinds of cars.
1) Subaru (of couse)
2) Saab (mostly very down to earth kind of people)
3) Acura-RSX ( like to drive fast but not in the MOD way)
4) VW-Beetle/Getta etc (drink wine with)
5) Mini Cooper S & OG Mini (twistie road rally nuts)

I really like the subaru community. Just among wrx owners, a lot are in the 20's, independently wealthy with a fair amount of disposable income. People like that are almost always cool people if they've chosen to get a subaru rather than a porsche or a bimmer. And lots of the younger under 20 members (like me) are guys who just like cars, because no one who's a ricer is going to get a subaru that no other ricers care about. Especially the 2.5RS guys are cool in this aspect.

And the older members are cool too. I'm a 19 year old asian boy with dyed hair, and 90 percent of the imprezza's I've waved to have been 30's or middle aged men but they'd always waved back and smiled, pretty cool.

 

Everyone likes to hang with WRX guys because you arent all a bunch of douchebags like everyone else.
