so it finally happened... (ticket to see State Ref)

on my way to work to this morning, i decide to get some coffee on winton and hesparian in hayward. i get my coffee and and pull out of the plaza, and an officer thought it would be a great idea to follow me... pulls me over for my exhaust, asked me where I was going and I told him that I was going to work and he said "okay let's make this quick... go ahead and pop your hood" so I did... he points to my fmic piping and asks me "so is this your intake?" I told him "No officer, that's my fmic" and he placed me back in my car... so while i was sitting in my car i was thinking okay i was cooperative and showed him my upmost respect... so i thought i'm just going to get a warning.. at worst, a fix it for my exhaust... he gets back to my driver side window... and sends me to the... STATE REF... then he looked over, smiled, and said "have a great day"... so i drove to work which took 30... SECONDS... i work at a shop in front of GB/MPJ...

FMICs are only legal if you have C.A.R.B. certification in the State of California.

god what's with i-clubbers labeling threads so lamely? I clicked this link expecting a juicy sexual encounter story with some hottie that you've been eyeing for months. Way to let me and my hormones down.

Sadly, you are both misinformed. I have spoken with two state referees and seen proof that they are LEGAL.
