yeah, snowed in truckee in a bit last night around 9ish I would say. I drove home around 11 and the road was dry. The flakes were big and slushy so they pretty much melted on contact. I'm still in bed right now, but from what I can see out the top of my window the sun is shining and we've got blue sky. There may be something on the ground that fell last night and stuck but checking that would require me to move and I'm just not ready for something as drastic as that!

There's some "snow" on my deck/house... but none on the roads/ground. It's 32 F out, clear skies as of right now.

Nothing that impressive and I'm betting it's gone by Tuesday.

I live behind Sierra Meadows (off of 267, towards Northstar). I love it here too, lived here off and on since I was about 1 and there is no place I would rather be

I've got a pass to Sugar Bowl this year, I'll ride with you if you're ever up there. I cannot go on blackout dates cuz it's a student pass, but those days are miserable anyways because you spend more time standing in lines than you do skiing.

On a side note... snow is gone already, haha. Skies are still pretty clear but it kinda looks like something might be rolling in for later today. I doubt it will be more snow because it is 38.

Last night I was out in the wilderness in Yosemite at about 8700'. At about 11:00pm Wind and snow started to come down hard. When I woke up there was about 6-7'' of accumulated snow. During our hike out another couple inches fell--all this amidst 20-30 degree weather.

On a brighter note the parking lot was fun when I finally got my car started.

Tioga pass was closed to east bound traffic at crane flat.

Winter is here with a vengeance!

I was around Tahoe this weekend. Bright, sunny and chilly around Sierraville, and definitely a bit of snow fall in Truckee/Tahoe. Looks like it may be an early start to the season.
