I had to do it. it runs about $38...least mine did...plus the cost of the cert...I think it's $12.

They will catch everything so return everything to stock.....although I did pass my cam and cam gear by the ref in my civic.....just set the timing at 0.

as for the ticket at court...if he didn't right you anything else it should just be the cost of the ref...then you go to court with the certificate that you passed and you're done.

if he wrote you say....a violation on having no cats or a ticket directed at something particular the fines could range from like $135 to 1000. Going to court will lower whatever fines you happen to get.

With my civic I got way to many fix it tickets...somewhere around 13-15.

most likely you just got a fix it and you'll be fine.

look up the ticket numbers or drop them hear and someone might do it for you. if I recognize it I might be able to give you more specific help.

If it's a fine...just fix your stuff...pass the smog...go to court...dress nice and be nice and appologetic....hopefully you'll get a cool judge and if you do get fines he'll remove them or cut them...usually do. often times if you just do you part they let you go.

i did that about 2 months ago... as i can remember it was like $30 for the first time... and $8 for the second time(if you can not pass the first time)... and they will sign off your ticket(after you pass the test)... so you can show it to the judge... you only pay $10 for it... but make sure all your aftermaket stuff is legal... otherwise they wont let you pass the test...

Those of you who have been jacked by the popo, what do you think was the #1 reason they pulled you over? Were you speeding/moving violation, loud exhaust, or did you "fit the profile" of someone who'd drive a modified car?

Seriously, I wanna know.

Why were you pulled over? <--- thread link. The question's been asked several times before.

i got a ticket picking up my little sister from school i got pulled over for modified exhaust, he said it was too loud when i was shifting under 2k. he was just out to get me for that one. popped my hood, looked under my car. gave me a ticket for 27151vc Altered Exhaust System and No Cataletic Converter. changed everything back to stock and went to the ref. goodluck.

thanks... looks like speeding is the most common reason, which is better than exhaust I guess
