Slid Off the Road :( Need Advice

My beautiful scoob was injured last night. I was on a backroad outside of Truckee and hit black ice causing me to understeer straight off a large rock embankment. The rear quarter panel hit some trees and a large rock. I hit another tree with the middle of the front bumper cover causing me to stop. This tree stopped me from rolling down another steeper and longer rock hill that ended in a creek. Im very lucky but am going to need some help

IMG_3066 by cwc16, on FlickrIm not sure what to do at this point and will be looking for advice. My car is an 06 wrx with 177k on her. She held a clean title, but I'm not so sure after this.

Is it worth it/safe to try and repair?
At this point I'm not sure if the frame is damaged. It appears to be a, "flesh wound" but is still a significant amount of damage to the rear quarter panel. I don't have any pictures at the moment of the damage done under the side skirt, but the rocker panel right in front of the rear wheel well has a nasty dent/crumple from a rock. Ill try and get a picture later today. I know i need at least a new bumper cover, headlight, front fender, rear door, quarter panel, side skirt, and an oil pan.

I drove the car home after she was pulled out and, besides needing an alignment and my rear tire rubbing on my crumpled quarter panel, drove fine. I love my car, but do not want to spend more than it is worth, especially with a blemished title. Any input/recommendations encouraged!

Glad to hear you're alright, sorry to hear about the car...
The rear quarter panel is a death blow to get fixed. Depending on the damage done after you look at it in the light, a repair may or may not be worth it. Let's hope it's a flesh wound!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that looks like a total loss. Especially cause your car has higher mileage so the blue book value is significantly lower. Also you said you hit a rock with the front end that stopped your car? Could have tweaked the radiator support / frame.

Part it out, sell me the front seats and wheels....

J/K, it doesn't look too bad, it should be repairable. What you can do is negotiate with your insurance to only give you just under the line that would salvage title it, then pay the remainder out of pocket. That way it keeps a clean title.

Damn thats awful man, glad you're safe however!

IMHO you will spend a lot more fixing the damage than what is worth.

Glad you are OK, that must have been scary! Might be easier to take it as a loss and start over.

QFT. It's going to be a dollars game between total vs. non-total at this point. Hopefully you find a good shop and a good adjuster that are both willing to work with you to achieve the best results.

With that mileage it'll probably go salvage title.

Your first step is get to a repair shop and get an estimate. Find a shop that is willing to work with you paying only for necessary repairs. If the car indeed runs fine and no real damage to suspension or frame, then it's all about how much you're willing to spend to get "the dents out".

Are you on summer tires or A/S?

Lucky you are safe and well. Cars can be replaced.

Like mentioned above it's going to depend on the shop and adjuster but that rear quarter is likely going to total the car.
