I think he's referring to the CA rolling smog exemption for models 30 or 20 or 15 years old. Arnold keeps changing his mind. As far as I'm aware 76 and earlier are exempt but the exemption hasn't moved forward as the years have gone by.

Yup, the rolling window was dumped in 2004 and the hard deadline of 1975 was imposed. The only thing that he can hope for is the rolling window to be re-introduced (or for the 1975 date to be updated).

ITs all about the 21 year import law. Anything over 21 model years old is exempt from the nhtsa dot and epa stuff.

Reg will vary by state tho.

And don't assume if its a motorex car that its safe.

I personally know 2 individuals with motorex cars that have had feds come knocking.
