SJ people..why didnt you tell me you had race gas??

arg!! so i found a gas station off 680 that has race gas! Found it by mistake too, my cousin needed to use the "comfort romm" so we pulled over. The place is right after the golfcourse, perhapse 10-15 minutes before the berryessa exit...

Michael<<<Needs to save up 50 bucks next time he is in town

i would imagine you could go to Unical 76's webpage, and search for the station off the place Freddie said

hmmm...would it be best to just wait til i am on empty, then add it, or just mix it with the 91?

ok, that was a dumb question. btw, 100 octane wont have any adverse effects on the car, will it? (other than the urge to drive faster)

i think i am going to try on friday, ill just get a bucket or something,, fill it up with race gas, and wait til i get on E with the gas i got now, then pull over on the road, and fill her up!

btw...is the difference between 91 and 100 octane notiicable?

for what i want to use it for... i want to use the gas for race purposes only... i don't really have the $$ to drive around w/ $4 per gallon gas.

so is there anyway we can syphen it out?

You would notice more of difference if you had engine management to take advantage of it. If you had a map for 100 octane, than you would notice more of a difference. But you could notice a difference just not as great.

thats the only reason I am not going Stage 3....that would be $1,000.00 every other month in gas ....the way I drive

yes you can mix the 91 with 100 octane...

it just brings the octane level down a bit, if you had 5 gallons of 91 and you added 5 gallons of the 100 octane, your octane lvl should be around 95.5 or so..

as far as engine management... higher octane means you can run a higher boost witout having to worry that the gas would explode before full compression(detonation)

so just with just a MBC you can take advantage of the 100 octane...just remember to turn it back down once you go back to regular 91 octane...
