I tend to check for prices on www.travelocity.com as I like their interface the best. Typically though, it's cheaper just to buy from the airline itself.

sidestep.com runs searches on multiple online ticket vendors. comes in pretty handy, hope this helps.

Question

just booked my flight with cheaptickets.com and my stop over will be at houston.
i paid almost $820 for flight/hotel (3 nights) and car rental( 3 days) going to new orleans.

And i have no idea if that's a good deal or not.

I think thats a good deal with hotel and car, i just checked couple of sites and just the flight alone would cost me 610 and above argh.

You should have mentioned you were going to New Orleans. I'd be willing to bet if you called their tourism/visitors bureau they could have gotten you a hell of a deal.
