Silverstars

Does anyone know where to get SIlverstars in Daly City for headlights? I don't think they sell them at Kragen. Are they the best replacement bulbs as far as brighter bulbs and value? If you can, please include place and price and any other good bulbs to get, one of mine burned out already, and I don't want to drag on with bulbs. Gracias.

P.S. If there is a thread selling them by vendor, can you please find it for me.

I'd like to also get my parking lights the same hue and brightness, and perhaps fogs too. Any suggestions?

Edit: err sorry, as "the same hue and brightness" as the Silverstars which I already have a love too :-D

I'd pretty much agree with that, for those contemplating getting them. I will say they are a little brighter. But its certainly the hotter hue that gives you any "ooooh ahhhh" and not the minimal addition of lumens.

Unless you are just looking for color, may I suggest the Philips Hi-Vis bulbs. They light up the road better than the Silverstars and cost a fraction of the price. The Silverstars are 24.99 each while the Philips are $15 for the pair. They work great. I've had them for a year and a half and have done several coastal trips (Redwood Natl Forest, Fort Bragg, Monterey, Bodega Bay) on very dark roads and they work great.

Do a search. There are a lot of people who report they light the road better than the Silverstars.

FYI, Sylvania makes little blue bulbs which light up amber, to replace your headlight turn signal bulbs, as well as bulbs to replace your stock foglight bulbs.
