I put my phone on CL last Wednesday with no luck of selling it, and I just sold it on eBay yesterday.

Ever since I put that ad up on CL, I've been getting a lot of emails. 30% of them are serious buyers. However, I hate how they lowball (I listed my phone for 175.00, a bargain for even a slightly used W600i). Some guy had the guts to offer me $100.00 for the phone.

Anyways, back on topic. The other 70% were these scam emails. I knew they were scams because almost 99% of them said they were "buying it as a gift", or "for my friend", or "for their child". Then I tried to see if it really was a scam. I replied back asking what form of payment they would use. They usually replied back with Western Union transfer or US Postal Money Order.

I'm pretty sick of these scammers and I didn't know that there were so many out there.

Anyone else face the same problems?

 

never use your real email for selling stuff

my selling email is full of those paypal scams now because i posted it on ebay/CL (i don't even have paypal on that email add)

 

lol..I messed with one and got 4500 in fact USPS postal orders, lol

 

That's all I ever get on Craigslist. I buy from there but try not to sell.
