ahhh c'mon. it's got a 20r, those are reliable for 300k =P
plus, with all the work i had done to maintain the carbs/ignition, this car makes a great dd (minus the fact it's a classic--it rides like a comfy one though, with the baby blue burberry interior lol)

Holy wow, what an awesome Celica. I have had a few, and hope to have a few more. Nothing like them. My last one was an '80 coupe and I daily drove it for years. It was an absolute blast - one of the most fun cars ever (pretty modded, track car too) and it never let me down - not once in 7 years.
Also, I have never gotten so many compliments, notes saying "please sell me your car" or people waiting by it to talk to me as when I owned Celicas over the years.
That is really a beautiful car. If you know the owner and better yet the history of it, it would be foolish to pass it up. I wish I had the time, money and a place to build another one. My '80 had a Supra 5spd and a 1st Gen Supra rear axle w/ LSD, 3.91:1 gears and rear disc brakes among tons of other things. It made a huge difference on the track. I always wanted a hybrid powered '72-'74 though. Someday...
