OR you can go to Reed's indoor range instead and do head shots all day long. And besides, there's far less idiot n00bs at Reed's compared to Target Masters.

On a side note, does anyone here shoot trap? My gf and I started recently, and it's a good time. Beats shooting at paper, that's for sure.

Agreed. Every time I go to TargetMasters, it's inevitably filled with morons who are more concerned with being "gangsta" than trying to get less than 1ft groups at 7yds. At the same time, the first time I went shooting, it was at TargetMasters, and the morons behind the counter recommended I try shooting the Glock 20 (10mm) because I was a guy, and recommended the girls try shooting the 9mm. IMO, no one who actually WANTS to learn how to shoot well should start on anything other than a .22lr, period.

And +1 on the workers there being just as clueless. That place is a disaster.
Shooting trap is great fun. Busting those clays sure beats punching holes in paper. Are you using an O/U shotgun for trap?

Yeah TargetMasters is sketchy. I can't even remember how many dumb asses I've seen there doing things in the most unsafe way possible (i.e. sweeping people with the muzzle, turning around with a loaded pistol with a finger on the trigger, shooting the ground/wall, etc.)
And +1 on the workers there being just as clueless. That place is a disaster.

I also have a single-shot 20ga H&R Handi-rifle which is neat, but the stock is a little short for me to shoot comfortably, which requires me to have to mount the gun basically on the upper tip of my shoulder and as a result, my face gets "punched" every time I fire the thing. Of course, I'm much rather get hit in the face and bust a clay than to avoid the pain and miss.
BTW, I shoot at Los Altos Rod & Gun using the manual trap machines. Does anyone else go there?

i used to shoot trap. one of my old roommates had a winchester model 870? and i think an 1100. loved it. i was never able to beat 18/25 targets. my roommate consistently can hit 25/25.
we used slugs once and i hit 0/25. he hit 12/25 with slugs.

Usually shoot trap at Chabot. I use a Browning Citori O/U. That thing was made to break clays. I love it. My friend brought his new Benelli M4 out to see if it could shoot clays. Sweet shotgun, but not too good for trap. Doesn't like low brass shells.
