Go to Odaiba, it's a 30 min train ride from central Tokyo, they basically have car shows at night on Fri/Sat nights. It's just a gathering in the parking lots, I don't think there's a fee to go and see. Also, now is a horrible time for you to go to Japan b/c the exchange rate is the lowest I've ever seen it. Most of the time, your hotel counter will have better exchange rates than the Travelex booths. Or you can just go into any commercial bank there and their rates aren't bad either and they don't charge a "convenience" fee like some places in the US do.

I actually found that I got the best rate when I would use my debit card in the ATMs at 7-11 to get cash. They are one of the few places that have ATM's that take american cards and have english menus etc. The fee from BofA was only $2.00 per transaction and the exchange rate was the best I could find.

sweeet good info guys thanks ! yea don't worry guys if i find any good deals ill definately snag it for ya guys and just let you guys have it for whatever i paid for it... im only going for rare parts though... i know all you bug eye guys love headlights and all that im not bringing back 20 sets ahahahahaha ! Hey for those of you that have been to shops.... has anyone heard of UPGARAGE? a friend of mine is telling me thats the used car parts shop to go to... anyone? UPGARAGE?

We knew about the exchange rate ... its the fertility festival woohoo hahaha and cherry blossom is still going from what we have heard.... Money issue we are use to, we had a bad exchange rate the last time in Italy and England.... just something else to deal with !

sorry its so long, but here are all the upgarages in kanto prefecture....sure if you show this to conseiur (sp?) at your hotel he/she will know or just ask them to look for Up-Garages in the area...they are usually really helpful...just say its a used car parts shop...i think you will want the ones i bold faced, since they are closer to tokyo..i went to the one in machida and one of them in saitama
if not here is the japanese website...just translate it on Google...click on the bottom where you see upgarage or upgarage subaru..

off topic but while you are there, try Fugu and also the shabu shabu at MoMo Paradise NabeZo is to die for. Make sure that you go to a NabeZo one b/c the regular MoMo Paradise doesn't have the salty pork broth. You can try Fugu at Tettiri Genpin and you won't be ripped off. http://www.tettiri.com/index.html

There are like a bazillion locations of MoMo Paradise in Tokyo. Just look for the NabeZo ones. They have a website too (but it's in Japanese)
