Shops in Tokyo itself ?

Hey guys im leaving for Japan tomorrow morning for a week. We are staying in Tokyo and for the most part will just be doing a few day trips to other cities, so for the most part, we will be in Tokyo itself. For those of you who have been there already, are there any shops in the city? A friend of mine said Superautobacs is there, and a place called Upgarage is like a used parts shop. Sound right?

Super Autobacs is in the Tokyo Bay.

Take the Yurakucho subway line towards the bay and get off at the Tatsumi (Y23 on the map) stop. Once you come out of the station, take the foot bridge across the water and walk towards the main street, you can't miss it, it's a 4 lane wide road just on the other side of the apartment buildings.

Once you are at the main road, take a left and walk up and over the hill. Just on the other side you will see the gigantic super autobacs. Enjoy!

there are a few shops within "Tokyo" but accessible by the JR train.

Spoon isnt that far away from Tokyo...
The nearest station is JR Ogikubo St. Ogikubo station is located on west side of Tokyo Prefecture. It takes about 24 min. by JR Chuo-Line from JR Tokyo St.
From Ogikubo station South Exit to SPOON, go down to the street 7 min.
between glasses and drag store. Turn right just after across the river.
Then you can see SPOON beside of the police station along the Kanjo-8 soon.

SPOON--[By Walk(5min)]-->Type One (Repair Shop)
Access to our repair shop Type One is just 5 min. (400m/1313ft) walk along the Kanjo-8 .

thats one shop...if you want to know other shops just pm me...i've been there 2 times exclusively for cars =) and maybe going back again in january again lol

i went to a few upgarages there and of the 2 that we went to, the good one, which was a walk though to get there was in Saitama, had way better parts then the one in Tokyo we went to this last time...depends i guess what you are looking for, certain upgarages have more parts geared for certain cars.....

also be prepared to do quite a bit of walking!!! not all these shops are right next to the train/subway station.....
....you either have to walk quite a distance there or be prepared to pay an expensive buk to get their by taxi (and if you do take taxi, make sure you have the address or at least access map of where you want to go in kanji...not all taxi drivers are familiar with english much less japanese written in english...they understand characters easier!)

Ha, very tempting, and brave of you! But man with the freakin gas prices now a days, the Focus has been top dog and the REX a garage queen. Sometimes my Rex sits in the garage for a week, and that's with me here! Anyways, don't forget to try and stay awake, or sleep in , or whatever it is that will help you adjust to the time quicker!

Here are some more cool places:

Twin Ring Motegi and Honda Museum
•120-1, Hiyama, Motegi-Mahi, Haga-Gun, Tochigi 321-3597
•Phone: 0285-64-0341 Start in Ueno (mito line?)
•Bus from west exit of JR Utsunomiya Sta. or north exit of JR Mito (90min.)
•Take bus from Moka Railway Line Motegi Station( 15min.)
•Take taxi from JR Karasuyama Line Karasuyama Station (15min.)

Top Secret
•Take JR Sobu/Chuo Line from Shinjuku or Akihabara Station to Inage Station
•Take the Kotehashi Danchi bus to Dainichi Jo Iriguchi stop. Puts you 50 yards away.
• On bus, you will pass by a giant sports stadium on the right and then a while later, a Toyota dealership on your left. It is the stop right after the Toyota dealer.
•Phone: 043-216-8808

Car Do Subaru Dealership -- This one is a must!!!
•Take the JR Chuo or JR Ome to Tachikawa Station
•From here, you can take the overhead tram 2 stops and then walk, or walk from the start(30min) Walk is not bad as you will pass Plecio Motorsports.
• If you walk, go in the direction the tram is going and continue down until you get to a really big main intersection. Make a right there and go until you see the dealer...cant miss it

***REMEMBER if you want to test drive something, bring an International Drivers License***

Upgarage -
• Where the 246 and 16 meet near Grand Berry Mall.
• Take Tōkyū “Den-en-toshi” Line from Shibuya St. to Minami-Michida St.
• There were traffic directors everywhere so ask them where to find the roads.
(there was an exotic car place pretty close so if you see that your going the right way)
