There is nothing murky about it, here are the facts so far that have come out.

1)The kid was a KNOWN coyote and on the wanted list in texas
2)He was throwing rocks at the LEO, rocks big enough to kill someone.
3)He was warned by the LEO before the BP officer opened fire.
4)They have video of a Mexican officer crossing the border, picking up a shell casing and returning to their side to drop it by the body.
5)The mexican officers pointed their guns at the FBI while they investigated the area, on OUR OWN SIDE of the border.

kid got what he deserved, he was a criminal and he tried to kill a BP officer in the line of duty doing his job.

this explanation is logical so it will never be reported

Lesson learned: Even if US agents can't cross the border to get you, their bullets can. Don't try to sneak in illegally and then run back to the "safety" of Mexico.

^^

Two shots, one hit the kid in/around the eye, instant kill. Now so you understand, you NEVER shoot at someone without shooting to kill. That is what your taught from day one when you carry a weapon. If you are going to draw it and aim it, you are going to be prepared to take a life.

I mean the kid got what he had coming to him, but I doubt his rocks were a serious threat. I totally understand shoot to kill if your at risk but he could have just shot him to incapacitate. Yeah a rock could kill you but I dont see that as an appropriate response. I dont know the whole situation though.

Hopefully the LEO just gets a slap on the wrist because the messican was in the wrong anyways and you really shouldn't attack someone with rocks when they have a gun.

Skeeler: Tell you what, you turn you back to me, and I will stand 30 feet away and huck a rock at you from behind, sound good?

Trust me, a rock the size of a baseball will cave a humans skull in even at that distance.

The boy was shot once near the eye, and authorities found one 40-millimeter casing near the body

Most of you guys would probably think I'm a bleeding heart liberal with respect to my views on illegals/border patrolling, but I have to side with the border patrol agent on this one. Shame on the Mexican government for trying to make this into a political issue. It's simply a case of a thug antagonizing cops. You can't let that kind of behavior slide.

edit: I saw the 40mm casing comment as well. I can only assume it was a typo and they meant 40 caliber.

If only there were some term we could use to describe an armed standoff involving Mexicans.
