My police shooting instructor is Asian and he was probably one of the coolest people I've ever met. Not only was he a national champion with long distance rifles, but he also kicked everyones asses using pistols too. He teaches the FBI, the ATF, and special operatives.
He's a Japanese guy in his early 60s, doesn't look intimidating until you see him in action. The guy is "wow", simply put.
Why are you doubting your own kind man? We all have our share of dumbf's in every ethnicity, but one bad apple can't ruin the whole damn bunch!
Be proud instead of insecure and this sort of thing won't bother you anymore. Asian culture and history is amazing to say the least.

I'm not, I'm just a bitter Asian man. Being Asian carries many negative stigmas. Also see "Curse of the Asian Man".
And, if you need picture proof:
Just my 2 cents on the subject, we kick *** but it seems like the recent flux of Asians in media and news are viewed negatively. E.g. Ban China made products as a root of all new threads for anything made in China that does not have toxins.
