The mini is fwd. Once you start adding power you need a LSD to get the power down. It is expensive as f*ck to get like 250 bhp out of that thing.

Hardly fair, I think the Mini got put out by the Slivic on the first turn before that the mini had qualified in 4th ahead of a bunch of more powerful cars.

The WRX was 7 seconds faster per lap, at least going by the best lap times.

As I stated this was after it tangled with a Slivic and got busted up.

I'm not a fan of the new mini's other than looks. Lost all the flavor. The S weighs in at 2700+ lbs. It looks like a mini, but it's not a mini.

Yea that mini was quick, i remember watching that thing thru the s turns, it was quite agile and came out of corners well. Had a good sound too!

Thought the WRX was faster but my buddy insists his cooper is faster.. It maybe now since he has pulleys, exaust, header, intake bunch of otha stuff but stock to stock.. Seems like a tender subject.. Mini-S with navi is "i believe" way nicer than the wrx interior wise and they are actually roomy for people..

from a dig, a wrx will rape a mini, from a roll is a different story, it may be alot harder to come by a victory

Roomy? Yeah, I totally disagree there.

Roomy *for their size*, maybe. Roomy for the driver and front seat passenger? Yeah.

Their product literature says that the Mini "can comfortably seat four, 6'4" adults". This is totally wrong. It doesn't seat 6 foot tall adults any better than a Civic coupe. If anything the legroom is barely acceptable.

I tried out this claim at the last SF auto show. There's nothing "comfortable" about me (6'2") sitting in the back of a Mini Cooper.

Interestingly, the unusual Scion xB had by far the most rear seat legroom of anything at the show, including a 7 series BMW and the S-Class Mercedes.

And even more interesting, the Porsche 997 seemed to have the most driver legroom of all the cars
