killing and torturing are two different things. torturing people=ok with me(people warrant many reasons to be tortured). torturing animals=not ok with me. either kill it or leave it alone.

Duly noted. BTW this was years ago, but feel free to judge away.

Curious though and not that I disagree, why is it OK to torture people but not animals? I mean as a blanket statement, it sounds very hypocritical and dumb.

I am not judging. Merely noting. People understand rules and consequences BUT fail to obide by them(not everyone) but many people do things that deserve punishment. criminal activity would decrease if we tortured people. if i knew that the punishment for stealing was to get my hand chopped off then i sure as hell wouldn't take anything that wasn't mine. i know that is a little extreme but people in this day and age seem to be losing morals quicker than their virginity.

deer do not jump out in front of a car on purpose. they don't know better and don't realize the consequences and all the trouble they cause by doing so . people will jump out in front of a car not caring what misery it causes to another person, they are only concerned with their problems. very inconsiderate.

Gotta admit, very true. I hadn't looked at it that way. I often wonder why people have to be such crap when it would be better for everyone including the offender if they were morally ethical. Thanks for answering in a calm and collected manner.

haha, sorry for going off-topic with this Jake, but i have a story that goes along with this....

one of my old co-workers was getting drunk at Malloy's, and old watering hole here in the Bay Area. after a few hours, he decides to drive home. going down Old Mission Rd. to Mission Rd., theres a Chinese guy standing on the side of the road. "Tom" ( ill just call him that ) continues to drive, as the guy on the sidewalk is oblivious to anything...

next thing you know, the guy steps into the street right in front of Tom. Tom slams on the brakes, narrowly missing him ,and yells at him to get out of the way. the guy starts yelling at him in Mandarin, and Tom gets out, drags him back to the sidewalk, beats the crap out of him, and then drives away.....

this is where it gets intresting.....

when Tom gets home, the FBI is waiting for him in front of his house. as it turns out, the guy he beat up was a Chinese Consulate based in SF......
