On 880 this morning. When I saw it from the overpass, I thought that it looked way too much like a Hyundai. It really does. In person, the front end on that car is way ugly from a distance. The lights need some contrast or something. Too much white/crome in the headlights makes it look nasty.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of it either. Maybe it'll grow on us like the bug-eyes did. Although I do feel worse about the newer design then I did about the original New Age Impreza.

Its just too much change in too short a time. Most of the earlier Impreza designs were so similar. The New Age was the first big jump. Americans weren't gung ho about it and the VP of FHI scoffed at Americans for always going for looks over performance. Well who's the dumbass now? Even though they've sold an incredible amount of bug-eyes in the US, FHI still changed the headlights anyhow. Maybe its because, so it seems to me, the New Age WRX in Japan isn't selling and doesn't get as much press as the older WRXs.

Ah well, things change. And we bug-eyed folks for once get the non-poopy end of the stick

They have the potential of looking pretty sharp, but in stock form, are pretty bad. I saw the front end of that Suzuki something of other (Mid-late 90's sub-compact, I want to say Esteem?) and the headlights were almost identical to the new WRX/STi. I couldn't believe the resemblance.

With a body kit (High end JDM stuff), the new Impreza does start to look pretty sharp, like a B4 kind of.
