I was there as a witness to this. My best friend James Sanos has been on the news, I was there during the shootout...Crazy stuff man...I saw a man die this morning.
SAN RAMON — Officers shot and killed a gunman outside a convenience store overnight, police said.
The deadly shooting was reported near the 7-Eleven in the 2500 block of San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Emergency personnel were summoned about 3:30 a.m., shortly after the incident.
Further details are being gathered this morning. Check back later for updates to this story.

Well I think it was a suicide by police. It was like in the movies, dude was just walking around like he was shopping. While the cops were there, he came out, took his last bit of his drink, threw it on the ground and raised his hand with the gun. I guess he told the clerk to get out of there.
Just crazy seeing SRPD actually doin' work, we all joke and say that they have nothing to do but when it comes down to it, they pwn.

Also, I guess he was trying to rob the safeway first, then ran across to the 7-11...dumb idea considering if it was just a robbery then he could have gotten away through the residential area and hit like crow canyon road to get into CV.
