San Leandro BART & douchebags BLOW
I don't post much, but needed to vent...long story short, parked at SL BART to go to work, come back @ 5pm,
- find my passenger window broken into a million pieces all over the place
- my once $1000+ Eclipse AVN5435 DVD/Nav deck stolen (It's an old system, but c'mon!)
- Exterior A-pillar dented in because asshats tried to open the window with what looks like a crow bar and couldn't jimmy the lock, which is why they window ended up breaking the window
Now I have insurance deductible to pay, but I'm more pissed about the A-pillar damage. Windows can be fixed, stereo can be replaced, but that big dent with scratches down to the metal is going to scar =(
frickin' weak!

the cops are not there to be your security guard. they are there to uphold the laws. if they catch someone breaking the law, fine.
otherwise, there'd be thousands of cops doing security guard type jobs all day long and it's a waste of tax payer's money.

I'm always iffy about parking at BART. If I ever need to use it during the daytime, I should just ask someone to drop me off (if I'm THAT lazy) or take the 10-15 minutes to walk there. I live by the Bayfair station. I normally park by Target (yea, not supposed to) just because there's a lot of people driving past that part...and there's no more parking at a certain point after 8:30AM. When I used to commute to the Academy, I'd pack my stereo faceplate (I know, not an option with your Eclipse navi unit) and leave nothing laying around. However, when I got my window broken into for the first time 2 years ago when I used to work off Telegraph in Oakland, even hiding and leaving nothing around still doesn't discourage morons from breaking into your car. It makes you feel as if you might as well just leave the damn doors unlocked.

To be honest, Bart police dont do crap any more. They used to have under covers walking the parking lots for this type of thing. But now they just drive around town. I see them all the time at Kaspers by Bayfair Bart.

Yeah, my RS was crystal clean inside...not one straw wrapper or anything...and they pulled my window back...popped the lock and opened the trunk and were off with my point and shoot and RC car
They love frameless doors. I dont mind keeping my car unlocked, since i myslef can silently break into it in 30 seconds...its just that i dont want any crack head to open my door and sleep...or do whatever they do inside my car...
it has already been raped knowing thieves have been in it, but i dont want it raped in the literal sense
