San Jose: Traffic diverted at Interstate 680-Highway 101 connector for possible jumpe
San Jose: Traffic diverted at Interstate 680-Highway 101 connector for possible jumper - San Jose Mercury News
Heads up for anyone that commutes through 280/680 and 101.
SAN JOSE -- A man perching himself on the highest overcrossing of the Interstate 680-Highway 101 connector has prompted freeway closures in the area Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The report of the pedestrian on the roadway was called in just after 1 p.m. at the apex of the connector linking the southbound lanes of I-680 and Highway 101, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officer Ross Lee said the pedestrian is on a more than 100-foot high segment that overlooks the northbound connector between Highway 101 and Interstate 280. Lee added that the man appears to be holding a knife.
Authorities and relatives of the man are on the lower connector trying to coax him to safety.
Both directions of I-280 and I-680 are closed at the junction at Highway 101. Traffic is moving on Highway 101, and on the connector ramps from I-280 and I-680 to Highway 101.

For **** sake, someone just push him off.
Look, I don't care if someone wants to off themselves, its their life to do with as they see fit. However when you decide to do it where others can see, you are just crying out for attention. No one ****ing cares, go away and stop causing the rest of us a hassle.

I don't know if he has a legit medical condition, or disability, but regardless, doing this very act is to take peoples time away, on purpose.
you can't earn or buy that time back. wasting someone's time against their will is one the worst "crimes" in my book.

I wish they'd suspend licenses after one or two accidents. Especially if texting was involved.
