I know this is old news now, but is anyone else excited about the return of the Quakes?

There is a press confrence today to announce the GM and im thinking a playing site that will keep them covered for the next 2 years.

They got lucky with the players on the original team that they meshed so well... don't think its gonna happen with an expansion drafted team. Maybe 3-4 years down the road they will actually be good.

There is a pro indoor team in Stockton, went to training camp for them but didn't get selected. My roommate is playing on there though so it will be funny to see him on TV.

I'm debating to watch the game against Galaxy. Too lazy to drive all the way out there though.

I've got 4 tickets for the game tomorrow at McAfee coliseum. As of right now, I don't think I'm going to make it.

April 12th 1:30p.m., Quakes vs. Chicago Fire

35$ seats, I'd hook up a good price. Or make me an offer.

I would say soccer is very popular in the US. The domestic league however doesnt get much attention. Most soccer fans in America watch the European leagues. If they had the best talent playing in the US it would take off.

It ends up being a catch 22 because the only way they will be able to bring over top talent is to have support for the league. Call me crazy, but I think that at some point in my lifetime the US will win a World Cup and Soccer will become popular in America.
