San Jose Grand Prix July 29, 30 , 31
Just a reminder and announcment.
In case you didn't know the Champ Car series is coming to San Jose!
The San José Grand Prix will be one of California's largest and most anticipated sporting events. 2005 will be the inaugural Champ Car event roaring through the streets of San José.
Race fans will cheer American Drivers Jimmy Vasser, AJ Allmendinger, along with Mexican Driver Mario Dominguez and series champions Sebastien Bourdais and Paul Tracy, when they compete at over 200mph on the streets of San José.
The San José Grand Prix event will represent so much more than a race. It will be a week long non-stop festival both on and off the track. Onsite beach volleyball, checkered flag festival area with music, interactive games, music, driver autograph sessions. Off track events including a street festival and fundraising events for Canary Fund, a non-profit dedicated to early detection of cancer.
There is also a Tuner Series that is going on as well! This is similer to the SCCA Formula D which will be more of a Exhabition than an official series.
For a Complete Event Schedule go to http://www.sanjosegrandprix.com/event_schedule.html
They changed the track slightly due to it blocking access to some residential areas. I think the change is for the better.
I am not sure who else is going but I want to at least make it to the Sunday event.

They have a Subaru that is in the Drigft Series?
I didn't know they had someone running a Suby in the Drift Series. This is the same one the the Pontiac GTO is running in.

I am sure he could rent the space out!
I know AG Edwards is having a customer BBQ in their parking lot, but I am sure we could fill his space no problem.
