Old opened sake doesn't taste rusty like old opened wines, instead, it just turns to crap tasting sake.
Don't let ^ that stuff ruin your taste for sake.
I've found sake doesn't last open, even in the fridge, for more than a day. I find that if I drink an open sake 24 hours after opening, it's barely still ok. 2 days after, and it's turned to bitter yuck.

Also, sake lovers get the dry stuff and drink it COLD.
Warm helps cheap sake taste better, but good sake is best enjoyed cold.
You almost need the same kind of sensitivity to fresh sashimi.

That's it... I'm getting me some Soju. Any recommended brands?
You get them at the Korean stores or anywhere?
I'm enjoying an Ozeki right now. I'd say if you want something in between a martini (original) and straight vodka, that's sake.
Good, fresh sake does not taste like rubbing alcohol.

My dad did some Electrical work for them a few times. They gave him one of those mini barrels with a little tap/spout thing, it was awesome haha. That was the first time I tried it. So a few days and it's done, damn I'm pissed. Thanks for the info guys.
