hot sake is more of a special ocassaion thing for us only on new years we have it. or like bitrhdays is like the "special" bday shot or what not. people who are in depth with sake usually will go with drier types. with my parents more like genshu and dont get tthe untreated mixed up with unfiltered too.

The first sake I ever had was Ozeki. I had a hard time finishing my little cup. I've tried it about 4 times and I'd have to say I prefer the flavored ones. I have a bottle of hakutsuru junmai ginjo left over in my fridge from sushi a few weeks ago. How long does sake stay good for after opened?

Only if it's cold and -20. I honestly prefer soju for a good buzz as it will DEFINENTLY sneak up on ya! If anyone has had it or been to Korea you know what I'm talkin about! Hell for $5/per 2ltr bottle you can't go wrong!

Alright, here is the most recent stuff I've had. It's been open for probably about 10 weeks and surprisingly doesn't taste oxidized.
