Bootsy's Rubber Band was a P-Funk band led by pioneering bassist, Bootsy Collins. It also included his brother, Catfish Collins, Kash Waddy, Joel Johnson, Robert Johnson, Gary "Mudbone" Cooper and The Horny Horns. The group was formed in 1976 and was the most prolific and successful of the Parliament-Funkadelic spinoff groups, releasing four albums in their pre-1980 prime and scoring a #1 R&B hit in 1978 with the song "Bootzilla".
