Damn, bro! Are you part Inuit Eskimo? Or a thick-skinned East Coast native?

I'd definitely recommend against your practice in the next few days. Check out this Nat'l Weather Svc statement...

Max, I haven't stayed in the Incline Village area before. But I'm considering staying out there for a couple days next week, so I did some "light" research for lodging. I'm gonna look into Cal-Neva or the Biltmore first. Depending on how those pan out, I may look into the more inexpensive motels.

Exclamation Meet & Caravan to Tahoe ! ! !

I know we've got a buncha folks excited to head to the mountains & play in the snow! So now that we've finally got that much-needed snow, and all the resorts are open & practically at full operation... I thought I throw out this suggestion:

Sunday, Jan. 6th at Kirkwood

That weekend the Wood is celebrating their 35th Anniversary! Subaru will be there continuing their 'Master the Mountain' program. Last year I got a pair of complimentary lift tix, but haven't gotten any news about a hook-up this time.

But don't fret, boys & girls, because there is another really good ticket deal that day as well. As a fundraiser for the Sierra Avalanche Center, you can pre-purchase a $35 lift ticket thru SnowBomb.com. What a deal!

Plus, as an added bonus, I've arranged for Mother Nature & Ol' Man Winter to provide us w/ several inches of fresh pow with a system inbound late next week!

This could be a day trip for Sun only, an over-niter for the whole wknd, or whatever ya'll think would be fun. I know the notice is a li'l short (10 days from now), but I'm hoping we'll get a few more of these trips worked out... maybe one every month.

So... who's in ?!?

Everyday that goes by, I'm realizing more and more, that my days of snowboarding are probably over.
I've been having disc problems betweens my L5/S1. It just wont go away. My latest bout happened from coughing.
Man this sucks, the only thing worth doing in the winter and I'm on the sideline.

Any one going on Sunday morning and coming back in the evening? I want to go, but my parents don't want to drive up there and back alone.

cool! what trail were you doing? we sampled almost every lift no section really worth staying for. Wasnt too crowded, 2 minute lines. some tree lines, only 1 tiny gouge from a rock landing after a hip so i got pretty lucky.

My fav part about Heavenly is flying past all the people walking their snowboards on the roundabout trail on the way down to the parking lot.

and watching kids break their tailbones on all the boxes

Dayum, El Jefe! That sucks major donkey *****, bruddah! Hopefully you're still able to do your job comfortably. Also, it must make working on the new place a li'l difficult. Looks like we're gonna hafta to hit up the Duke a.s.a.p.

Too bad ya can't play in the snow. At the Big Dogs meet, me & li'l Jeff were just talking about getting an "official" Arnold/Bear Valley trip this year.

Take care o' that back, fellow Ol' Man. Btw, were you & the wifey getting too adventurous w/ the "acrobatics" again? Is that how it happened?

Looks like the fish aren't biting, eh?

Bumpin' the offer/suggestion/etc. from Post #1327.
Sunday, Jan. 6th at Kirkwood

Should I just make a separate thread for this in the Meets sub-forum?

Btw, I just noticed that those Bay Area Snow Show vouchers will be valid those weekdays immediately following the proposed trip.
Monday, January 7 thru Friday, January 11:

Alpine Meadows OR Bear Valley OR Diamond Peak OR Dodge Ridge OR Homewood OR Northstar-at-Tahoe OR Sierra-at-Tahoe
