Warren Miller's Flow State movie tour starts in early Nov. They're offering BuyOneGetOne FREE's to TheWood & Heavenly. The vouchers are slightly restricted... Sun thru Fri ONLY (NO Saturdays) and blacked during your usual holiday periods. But they're valid the ENTIRE season essentially... no more of this early or late season only boo-sheet!
Since I'm going passless again this year, that's frickin' schweeeeeeeeeeeet!
Oh, here are the dates & locations dialed in so far: http://www.skinet.com/warrenmiller/events/94542

Costco usually has the best deal for The Wood as their tix are usually priced at around the Two-for-One dollar amount. Plus, they are UNRESTRICTED, iirc. And they don't have to be used on the same day.
But these Warren Miller's are a steal cuz you get a a voucher for each resort. Yeah, the 2nd ticket you get for free has gotta be used on the same day, but two pairs of vouchers for about 20 bux & ya get to catch a flick to get your stoke on. Not bad, eh?

You're right Cliff, Costco was selling the Kirkwood double paks for $100 last season. I wonder if they will continue to do that since they sold the resort.
I got my Tahoe local pass this year. Figured it was better deal for me. Just going to Heavenly 3-4 times and once or twice to K-wood and my pass is paid for.

Some interesting stuff in the TWD winter '12/'13 outlook... http://tahoeweatherdiscussion.com/winter-analogs
The analysis is somewhat technical if you're not a weathergeek like me. But for those that have some knowledge of meteorological dynamics, "[t]he variables we are dealing with this upcoming season are a weak El Nino (Central Pacific centered), a cold PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation), an East QBO (Quasi Biennial Oscillation), and coming off a La Nina."
Let's see how well his prediction holds up for this year:
"It’s still really early and I will be updating the Winter forecast into October, but right now I am going to go with 70-80% of average snowfall, more spreadout across the season."
Oh, and another thing predicted is colder than average temps by a couple degrees. This could be significant esp. for those mtns that have loads of snowmaking capability.
Finally, according to latest forecast models, he's calling out the 1st week of October for possible precip.
Funny how I'm posting this just as we've got a bit of a warm-up beginning on Thur.

Also, seriously? October 15 is the deadline to submit the plan for area operations! Does this sound really, really LATE to you, too? That's a super tight deadline.
