You should be cool dude. Just remember... if it's bulging it's probably not covered with much. Jordan caught a rock on his new board but he's retarded. He's blown out a board every year for like 4 in a row. Last year it was my board.
I never would have known there was a giant tree blocking the path into spyglass during a normal year. Pretty crazy how little coverage there is.

I really like this idea. Much less weight than a GoPro. Just hope there is a way to store video via BlueTooth or some other means.

I wish I knew some folks in this industry because I've had an idea for YEARS that would be a HUGE money maker.

I can't wait to shred at the Wood on Monday!!!

Anyone know where I can get my boards waxed? I live in Daly City and work in Union City and would prefer not driving too far. The shop I usually go to, Sequoia in San Bruno, hasn't been open all week.

If you need a rundown I'd suggest going on Youtube. There are AWESOME tutorials there for step by step.

You can buy an iron if you want at REI. It'll run you $25-60 depending on how baller you want to go. Or you can go to goodwill and get an old iron. One without holes is preferable.

Get some base cleaner.

Get some wax. My suggestion is a decent all temp. We don't really get cold enough that often to run the cold temp/graphite. It's nice to have but not a must. And it's worth while picking up some spring time wax as well.

So....
Iron: $40
Wax: $20
Cleaner: $8
Scraper: $7

THen go to the hardware store and get yourself some red 3m pads for buffing.

$10

You're looking at $75.

But you'll have everything you need to get your through this season and probably next. THen it's just buying wax and cleaner occasionally. Cost about 50cents to do it yourself after this initial investment.

Basic run down... there's the drip method and the swipe method. Swipe uses less wax but takes longer. Drip goes faster but wastes more. I use a combo of the two. haaaa.

Basically..

Scrape the old wax off.
Clean it.
Apply new wax.
Let it cool.
Scrape it off. (I usually leave a little bit more on than most)
Then buff it... all in one direction.

Done. Should take you 15 minutes start to finish. After the first couple times you'll never understand why you paid $15 to have your board waxed in the first place.

I wax my board probably 8 out of every 10 days I ride.

^^Saw that yesterday and had posted it in the BAIC Tahoe trip thread
Grrrr.... I was just looking into this but noticed an "exception" to this limited-time offer: "Not availalbe with Costco Vouchers."

Even though I am holding strong to my faith for a Miraculous March (crossing my fingers that it actually starts a li'l early--like Feb 25th maybe?), I think I've got enough comps to go along w/ any other SlidingOnTheCheap deals to make it solid season for me. Gotta continue burying my head in books before I can play. Can't shred all the time.

All play and no work makes me a dumb boy.
