short day trip to Bear Valley this weekend
Went to Sierra last weekend, kind of icey but this weekend I can only go as far as Bear Valley, but should be plenty of snow... unfortunately lots of high school kids will be on ski week so probably super crowded! have fun everyone who's heading to the mountains.

lol yea... raised up my car for more ground clearance for the snow season... finally put my winter wheels/tires on but haven't needed them thus far b/c of the previous warm weather we've been having before this past week. It was 58 on the mountain @ sierra last week but this week should be better =)

Dodge was great. There were some crazy deep spots. Got stuck at one point and had to unstrap. Got off my board and sunk in to my chest. And I am 6' tall. They took a long while to get most of the mountain open. Chair 7 didn't even open till about 10:30 I think as well. Chair 8 a little while after that. Boulder Canyon, probably not till about 1 pm, and my legs were screaming by then.
Dan, If you can't find a ride next weekend and I go up, I will see about finding a way to get your *** to the mountain. But remember, I am an early snow goer. Gotta find a way to drag yo *** outa bed.

On a good note, I might go backcountry riding at the pass on some sleds tomorrow!

LOL I wish I was riding to. I was stuck here in sonora. I'm up for riding whenever you're up again. I was on my way up today and stopped a quarter of the way up when I realized there were just too many people and it was probably tracked out. Should be more snow coming in this coming weekend though. That is damn deep to! I'll wake up early to ride with you guys. lol My friends stopped riding powder so I gave up going early.

You should have headed up. Boulder would still have been good. When i left at about 2:30, it was barely tracked. The trees going down from Stampmill were untouched, as well as on the side of Quicksilver. Never even made it out to the Shots, but i am sure those were still good too.
My buddy and I were the first people besides the Ski Patrol to make it down 6 Shooter as well. That was tons of fun.

A couple images from yesterday morning just trying to get out of the cabin.
This was the path just to get to the cabin front door.
My Subby.
Taken from the road, after about 30-40 mins of digging that morning already.
