So what can I say? Kirkwood was the place to be on such an epic day.
Firstly it was completely empty and had zero wait all day. 88 east was closed so no bay traffic!
Secondly the pow was soo deep that when I went off trail, I sunk into beer gut deep snow.
Comin down the wall, I took a spill and ended up upside down buried with out a trace.
lol.
Thirdly it was super soft and some of the best snow I have ever skied in my life!
Fantastic day to say the least!
Kirkwood ftw

Hit up northstar today and it was damn nice up there. So much untracked powder everywhere. Wasn't too many people up there, lift lines were fairly short (less than a minute). Falling snow all day and little to no wind. It was damn awesome.
Driving home wasn't too bad, took about 5.5 hours.. Eastbound traffic on 80 looked like a mess though. 2-3 mile backup at the first chain control stop. It was snowing/raining pretty decently on 80 all the way home. If youre driving up, be safe and definitely bring some water, food, and gas up like Matt said.
Wheres everyone riding sunday? I'm thinking sierra or kirkwood.
