Hell yeah! Sick deal right there.
Keep your eyes out for us. We'll be in my dad's truck. Tan Chevy Canyon with a bed cover. If we get there early enough we'll be parked by the koala openning. If not we'll be parked up a bit higher by the upper parking lot.
WOOT!

I've been going up by myself alot in the last two years and that is one of the many reasons why I will not do trees by myself.

I've watched that video 3 times now. Those are experienced riders and that dude is lucky as hell. Much respect for keeping their heads together.
I got buried head first with my hands over my head one time. I can tell you first time that 3 plus minutes under the snow is a LONG time. My brother dug me out. I got buried in the exact position that dude was in once too. Maybe 2 feet under. It's not fun. You seriously can do NOTHING to get yourself out. Every struggle you go deeper and pack yourself in more.
Much respect to those guys.
We should all watch this and remember how easily that can happen. The chick that died up at Alpine this year died in a treewell IN BOUNDS.

That vid is a great reminder of how important it is to stay w/in eyesight & earshot of your buddies whenever you venture off the groomers, esp. when the snow is plentiful. I admit that I can get a li'l caught up in the thrill of the slashing thru the pow pow, but this guy's experience shows how crucial it is for you & your buddies to look out for one another.
Like OneManArmy suggested, let's learn from this. Also, if need be, get educated on tree wells, NARSID, etc.... http://www.treewelldeepsnowsafety.com/
