All I have are some all seasons. Won't the chp dudes still make you chain up even if you have awd/4wd and snow tires?

From what I've heard, people have made it through chain control on summer tires. Might not happen every time, but if you atleast have some decent all seasons and the conditions aren't too bad, you'll make it through.

It has been way too warm these past few days. It hasn't rained or snowed all day today by my house. It calls for snow again tonight so lets keep our fingers crossed!
I'll check out Sierra tomorrow and see whats up. They claim 8" but haven't opened huckleberry so we'll see.

C'MON SNOW!

CA law says you must carry them even with 4x4. just tell them you have them and they should let you by.

Lmao, that's sick. but if CHP caught you that would've been an automatic ticket from what my buddy told me from his experience. Do the road guys ever ask for proof of chains? I'm really hoping on taking my subie up instead of the Dodge turbo diesel. haha WAY LESS GAS MONEY

Btw I have Nitto Neo Gens w/ good traction, but they have not so great wet/snow traction. I'll just be extra careful.

Damn you. I have class all day, and even on saturday. Hopefully snow conditions/road conditions are great at Sierra, Gonna be bringing my lady so I can buy her a lesson and help her learn.

i dont even have M+S tires, my tires look like they could be snow tires but they are actually street legal race tires. they are bridgestone potwnzas, these special models that were disscountinued. i get through the chain control fine every time (knock on wood). but i still do carry cables in my trunk just in case
