And nothin' is FREE. Just like when I offer rides up to the slopes, it's either @$$ or gas. Let's be thankful that gas money was exchanged in you guys' situation.
True nothin is free. In our case its gas

Is it a big jump going from the intermediate runs to the advanced?

Don't know yet. I can't take any days off work right now. We'll see when it gets closer to that weekend

I do hit up black diamond runs, but don't ride them all day long. Is it a big jump? Like Matt said, it can be. If your a real strong rider on intermediate runs than going down black diamonds won't be that much of a diffrence.

Thanks for the run info guys, want to hit up a black diamond run before the season is over with Atleast give it a shot.

Just checked the weather for Sierra (Im assuming its not much different for the other Tahoe resorts) and its suppose to snow from today-Thursday, with partly cloudy skies on Friday. Friday should be a good day of riding, I know I cant wait.

Depends on the runs. Not all advanced runs are the same. Some are steep and groomed, most are steep, rough, and variable. Most likely you'll need to be good at doing quick turn to turn transitions and be looking ahead to plan your lines. Also would depend on it it's powder or pack...or even slush is very challenging.

If you're really crazy you can just straight line down them, that's pretty fun, but will scare you ****less sometimes to.

Might as well try it. The worst that can happen is that you have to side-edge your way down it if it's just too difficult.

Thanks for the info D. Fantom, definitely giving it 1 try minimal, like you said worst that can happen is me going down side-edge. I did have one moment last Friday where I went straight down a drop on the intermediate run and stayed straight lined and (to me) was flying haha I'll admit I got scared/nervous but stuck it and rode it out. I gotta feeling I'll be riding a black diamond or two when I go up to Kirkwood with my dad and his friends since they're all seasoned riders and skiers, so maybe there I'll pop my black diamond cherry

Ah ok. What can you get a room for there? I can't spend too much right now. I would prefer leaving the day before that's for sure, but has to be within my budget.
