I ended up going to Dodge Ridge on Saturday, and that crap was wet and heavy. Overall, it was a good day, but there were moments when I got stuck in the deep stuff and was hating life. Some blacks and double blacks were ungroomed and must have been up right below my waist in powder at some points. But if anyone got up there Sunday, I bet it was an epic spring like day.

lol yah glue is right, the worst part was looking out into the trees and all that great untouched powder, and then realizing y it was untouched too late.

These next storms are suppose to be colder, at least we r building a nice base i guess.

I was with the gf and another couple at Sierra last saturday.

We had a blast, but we did have a tough time going down Lower Main on our very first run in the morning. Thick powder and the steep(er?) slope. Halfway down that slope, I eventually grew some ***** and started following the tracks made by others instead of trying to "carve" down. I'm not very good with my balance yet when I pick up speed, so I did cartwheel a couple times

It was a weird saturday with the sun coming up, then snow, then sun again, then snow again

that sucks, but atleast you walked away from it. my gf fell on here wrist and we spent the afternoon in med station, and my other friend cartwheeled and he's at doctors today for his shoulder. I still had fun though

Ouch man, hope your gf and your friend recover quickly! I've been constantly telling my gf to stop trying to break her fall with her wrists, but it's really hard to fight against our instincts

I've been lucky enough to only have these kind of falls on powder days.....although I did get a sprained right shoulder last season on a very icy day. Lucky for me it was a very minor sprain.

On powder days, I'm good for at least 3 or 4 cartwheels. My board is big but doesn't have a long nose so it gets dug in sometimes and flips me over. But I tuck my head and roll with it and 9 times out of 10 I'll roll right back onto the board and continue riding.

Haaa... I & a couple others around here can attest to these cat-like cartwheel skillz.

Btw, any others in the SubaBrew Powderhounds Crew wanna hit Bear this wknd? I'm planning to ride w/ friends on Fri, then Jordan on Sat! Justin? El Jefe? Judd Bales?
