Haaa... glad to see y'all hit them freshies. Gotta love these late season treats we've gotten over the past few seasons. Didya ride on Fri? I couldn't tell cuz all ya said was it "was the day for sure." Maybe a case of not enuff words to describe how stoked y'all were, eh?
Anyway, I rode N* on Fri (had free tix) & Kirkwood on Sat. Conditions were funky at N*, but it also didn't help that I had just come down w/ the flu. When me & my buddy got to Kirkwood Fri evening, we were told we missed out on a pretty serious powder day. Luckily, I was feeling much better in the morning so I could fully enjoy the hunt for the li'l pockets of untracked. Several of us hiked up past the double surface tow & hit some decent stuff out there.

They close a week after Bear does, so Sun the 26th is their final day of operation.
They've got a buncha deals going on during their final 2 weeks....http://kirkwood.com/main.asp?pID=170.
The other (non-KW) passholder deal works like this: First time you come in, get a free lift ticket plus 1 for a buddy for only $29; then every visit after that, you get 1 lift ticket for only $29.
It might be a good idea to give 'em a call so they can clarify what they mean by "other Tahoe resort" since my buddy got into some spirited verbal sparring on Sat over the details of other aspects of this offer.
Like I said, the above link has other great deals like the 4 buddy tix for $29 ea that KW passholders can get, which is something I could help w/ if we round up enuff of the boys.
Finally, I hope to hit it up sometime during their last few days. (A li'l birdie tells me we've got a purdy good chance for a touch-up of fresh to close out the season.) I'll definitely keep you in the loop, brah!

You guys hitting up Squaw this sunday? $20 lift tickets. Or do you think it'll be too crowded?

Hell the last weekend of March was totally dead.
Don't expect much, it's been over 70 degrees in Tahoe the last couple days...
I took these photos on March 29th:

Yeah, the gf and I stayed at Tahoe last weekend to celebrate the end of the tax season. I got sunburn on the back of my neck lol, and our jackets never got used.
We hit up Sierra saturday, pretty much just playing around and practicing at the slush at West Bowl. It was funny to see the lifts not having any lines at all. We were supposed to hit Northstar sunday, but we just decided to sleep in and go straight home
We're still thinking about doing Squaw this sunday, but not sure if the slush is worth the drive.
I'm still in denial that the season is over

"Snow"board 365 Days a Year
I just came across this on the SnowBomb forums...
http://www.morganhillsnowflex.com/index.html
It's the 1st time hearing about this, but the Morgan Hill Snowflex Center is scheduled for completion in April 2010 (less than 11 months fr now...WOW!). Looks like park rats can get their fix, but us freeriders will still have to wait or scrape up cheddar to go to South America or New Zealand for the goodies.
