damn dude. should have called me up. I didn't even look at that thread.
I road Sat/Sun at bear. Sunday was off the hook. Last run of the day we hiked the ridge and dropped in on a literally untouched bowl. Non stop turns with nothing but us back there. Friggin awesome. I dropped the face twice at speed and road out. WOOT!

Sounds like you whooped some @$$ on the mtn, too. I dropped into Notch Chute yesterday, but it was no biggie. I wish we had left ourselves time to head back up to hit up the next one over... way narrower & steeper!

*EDIT*
Originally potsed about possibly hitting up Boreal to dork around there tomorrow. But I just looked at the weather forecast & some of the area's lift reports for today and the gusts are likely to continue, so I'll hold off hitting the slopes til later.
Carry on.

Sugar Bowl tomorrow (Tues, 31 Mar)
I gotta voucher I need to use & I'm also hoping the X-course fr this past wknd's comp will be open to the public (I'm still waiting to hear back fr them).
I'll be leaving fr Vallejo around 6 to get there by 1st chair. The slush & corn should hold up pretty well thru the day. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it don't get too sticky & grabby toward closing.
Anyone down to meet up or carpool out there tomorrow?

Very 'Spring' conditions @ Kirkwood. Slushy in areas, packed powder in most, but still fun powder off trail. The final run we did took about 20 minutes but was very challenging. Best season so far.
Strangely got an upgrade from a regular room @ Montbleu to the Sierra Suite on 17th floor. The lil lady enjoyed herself immensely

i talked to a guy up @ dodge ridge, said the conditions were rediculous for this time of year...but they got a solid 12" at the base and 16" to a foot up top. I don't normally ride Dodge, but I took Thursday and Friday off to go ride.
Anyone going up tomorrow? I'm heading there in the morning and back home in the evening so if you're off and want to slide tomorrow, shoot me a message tonight.

I'm so down that I haven't got any spring ridding in. With my transmission being broke I don't know if I'll get to go up again this year. Sucks, I love ridding spring slushie in a tee-shirt and enjoying some bar-b-q and beer...

I spent the day at Kirkwood yesterday. The snow conditions were ridiculous. The powder was almost knee deep. I got a handful of untouched powder runs in on the backside. It was a great Friday.

Friday was the day for sure.
Sat was cool until probably 1:30 or 2 oclock. We got a couple long untouched runs. Little on the slow side but still fun. I found out the hard way that coverage isn't always as it seems. Was hot.
Sunday was hotter and the snow was slower. It was pretty much useless by noon. We did get one long pretty much untouched run in. I found a nice hip transfer. Probably a 10 foot gap or so and a couple sick rollers and then a nice olley floating transfer. My brother was smashing my old 152 jib board around. Throwing down some stylie oldskool isht. Strait double grabs. Way tweaked out double handed nose grabs and what not.
Was a really nice day. Hotter than isht for sheez.
Discovered the kilt lifter and had to escort one buzzed load mouthed dude home and one drunk chatter box home. Haaaaa.

Haaa... glad to see y'all hit them freshies. Gotta love these late season treats we've gotten over the past few seasons. Didya ride on Fri? I couldn't tell cuz all ya said was it "was the day for sure." Maybe a case of not enuff words to describe how stoked y'all were, eh?
Anyway, I rode N* on Fri (had free tix) & Kirkwood on Sat. Conditions were funky at N*, but it also didn't help that I had just come down w/ the flu. When me & my buddy got to Kirkwood Fri evening, we were told we missed out on a pretty serious powder day. Luckily, I was feeling much better in the morning so I could fully enjoy the hunt for the li'l pockets of untracked. Several of us hiked up past the double surface tow & hit some decent stuff out there.
