Heading to Boreal or Squaw I80 is pretty much as steep as it gets. If your bringing the integra always have chains. These days there is no snow so you'd be cherry. Although the weather can change quickly. Boreal sucks, squaw is a good time but expensive. Ever been to KIRKWOOD, Alpine Meadows, Mt Rose, Homewood? I like all of those Mts. Rose has a two for Tuesday buy one get one lift pass. Even if you don't have anyone to go with there is always someone in the lot waiting to go half with you. Homewood has the best views of Tahoe, quite a bit of fin terrain too. Alpine is like a Kirkwood, big bowls nice steeps, lots of mountain. Kirkwood is well... Kirkwood. It's a BFM.

Boreal (or Boring Hill -- it's rinky dinky compared to Sierra) is right off I-80. Another kwik drive is Sugar Bowl. A lot bigger than Boreal. Just take the exit before (Soda Springs/ Norden... I think). Squawllywood shouldn't be a prob either. I'd personally skip out on them & go to Alpine Meadows just down the road. These last two will take maybe 20 more minutes to hit up.
Deals & Discounts:
Alipine - $41 regular non-holiday/peak period ticket
Boreal - $10 Fridays w/ student ID
Squaw - $43 w/ college student online coupon
Sugar Bowl - $37 w/ Tahoe Card <-- I have one of these
For more info on other deals, click here SOTC deals. Once there, you can also click on the name of each resort to go to their website for other possible discounts, etc.
