My friend had this Rogue beer from Oregon. Everyone jocked it. I think it was the most disgusting thing in the world, and while I don't think much of bud of coors as they are more like water.........................this stuff was a 21st century disgusting mess.

WAY WAY to much hops............but what got me is the obviously over saturated am of sugars in there to make it dark and nasty. It was like a cinnamon roll of sugars. No place in a beer. **** is worse than bud

I brewed a 6x hops IPA once.. there's no such thing as too much hops.

 

I agree.

Rogue is ok. I wouldn't say it's the worst beer ever, though also not the best.

 

^^Yeah definitely not the best.. but I'd certainly take it over many other beers out there.

I don't think I've had it, but a guy I work with who brews says its his favorite, outside of his own

 

It's not bad, a bar I had worked in the past had it.

 

Have you had Sierra Nevada Torpedo. I think you'd like it.

I like Rogue, though. Most of their stuff is pretty potable. I dont know the beer you are talking about, but the dead guy ale is good, the American amber, the chocolate stout, ALL the Morimotos are great.

Russian River is my favorite brewery, though. Everything they make is great. Plinys, Blind Pig, Ruination, salvation, damnation...

 

Which Rogue? There are a lot of them.

 

You want to taste some nasty beer? Samuel Adams Triple Boch. It's definitely not my style, it's as thick as syrup.

 

Need to try that still! I'm finishing off some Bigfoot, so I'll have to get some Torpedo next
