This is one of the stupidest laws I've heard, I can see it being an old 1930's thing, but to hear that its a new law, for crying out loud don't they have better things to worry about?

this is from that booklet:
The owner of a service station kept a billy club in the service bay for his own
protection since he often worked late hours. The owner has committed:
a) a felony.
b) a misdemeanor.
c) an infraction.
d) no crime.

Cannabis is not legal for public consumption just because they like to **** off you stoners.
Seriously its a complicated issue that began at the turn of the century with hemp.
By the same token, it isnt "good for you" and thats enough for most people to just outright ban it.
If alcohol and smoking werent legalized before they discovered the health risks many years ago, they would be banned as well.
I could care less whether it ever becomes legal for public consumption. Right now though, if you smoke it.. doesnt matter who you are.. you are breaking the law and are subject to fines and imprisonment. I dont smoke it. If i were to break the law for something that I could be imprisoned for, it would have to hold more value for me.
By the wya.. california has about the most lenient marijuana laws of almost nay other state.. so it doesnt belong here in califorjias dumb laws.. Its a federal law.

what i was trying to say was, if you look at the first sentence "certain weapons have no legitimate purpose..."
who decides that?
what about for self defense?
