Rich kids changing toys are awesome

My Powerbook died on me, so I was searching for a replacement on CL. Saw an ad for a G5 iMac for $750. G4s go for that much. I emailed thinking the seller would be in London and can only do a wire transfer blahblahblah (I got a buncha those)...

Nope, the kid is going to college and wanted to get a gaming PC. I told him I'd take it. Only drawback was he was in Stockton and he doesn't drive. So I'm thinking to myself: Is he selling his parent's computer without them knowing it? Is he husling me? Why the low price? I get to stockton and all my worries ended when I pull up to a gated community. I made wrong turn in the gated township and basically got a tour of phat houses, elderly folk walking the shiitszus, and roundabout driveways. My jaw dropped. I get to his house, walk up the spiral staircase to his room, click around the computer and give him the money. He took off right away to go to CompUSA I think.

Soooo... What does this mean for you? More illustrations, suby-related apparel and post whoring! Ha!

The deal couldn't have come a better time. This is one one of my better scores in recent history.

Specs:
512 ram
80 gig hd
Panther 10.3.5

And...
Wireless Mouse/Keyboard
He left the Airport Extreme card in
Final Cut Express (porno! porno! porno!)

Now I need a good drive enclosure for my drive from the dead PB. Any recommendations?

Nah... He could have parted out the Mac stuff, but I think he was anxious to get the new computer.

If you want to upgrade to Final Cut Express 2, let me know. You could also download FC pro...

is that a 17"?

anyways, i paid 1200 brand new for my G5 20" almost a year ago. should've asked me, i would've sold mines for 750 without the airport, wireless keyboard, and software but with 2gb of memory. just kidding . started thinking about selling it though to get the new intel powered iMac.
