that would be the stupidest thing ever. I guess if you're building a rally car that might be cool. But that stuff is HEAVY and it's pretty much impossible to remove. It'd be permanent.
I saw a truck at a show the other day that did that and it looked retarded. The best was gloss painted and the truck was rhino...rediculous. Waste.

why do people want a respray? i dont understand how a car would even need a respray, you can get it detailed or buffed or whatever they do.

didnt read through all the replies, but here's my advice.
any paint job costing less that $2000 will NOT be as good as your stock paint job. cheap paint jobs fade, peel, and can never look as smooth as an OEM job.

Car Info: A crazy ass wagon ! Voltex and 18x9.5 +22 FTW !
My CRX was painted a three stage red.. cost me 4000 with some minor body work, including all jams and underhood. Its not cheap for a complete respray..but that was also changing colors from stock.

a good paintjob is really expensive,
You get what you pay for, if you are after a show quality finish, big bucks,
If you dont give a ****.... Well i can spray paint it for you!! Ask me how i know how to spray paint

i say
a decent paint job would cost around 2-3k. Not as clean as factory either unlesss you really know the guy thats going to spray your car and he's gonna do an excellent job. YOu may expect overspray, and waves for a cheap paint job. So yes, you get what you pay for.
