Dude, I am not here to make fun of you I just want to give you a little advice. Earn the car, tell your parents to take the $25,000 and go on a nice vacation to the riviera. Get a good job and get enough for a good down payment, then start making payments. I am sure everyone here will respect you +1000 if you buy your own car.

if my parents had money like that i would have them buy me something a lot nicer than a wrx.

milk it for what its worth. still get a job and earn money and all that important life stuff. but damn, if you follow the advise of the people on here (don't have your parents buy you a car, earn it yourself blah blah blah) then you are stupid for not taking advantage of the resources you have at your disposal.

That would mean taking advantage of your parents, where do you draw the line ? They buy you a car so you become dependent on mommy and daddy's checkbook ? I live in a "rich" area and when parents buy their kids cars, the kids don't see the value in the car so have no attatchment to it, "Oh i crashed it, oh well, oh I spilled coffee on the seats, oh well" I just think earning something is better than having it handed to you on a silver platter with a bow on it.

thats why i threw in the "get a job still and that important stuff" so that you realize how lucky you are to be in the situation you are in. i agree with you though. in highschool i had a lot of friends that live in your neighborhood. and yes it is just how you say. they however never get real jobs or learn any sort of responsibility and so they take everything for granted. there is a difference between taking advantage and taking for granted.

I would have to agree with ish on this one. Put a poll up here on i-Club and I bet a good portion of the members here had their car bought by their parents. For those people who take their blessings for granted, F*** them. If I had loaded parents, I would have them pay for my schooling instead of buying me some expensive toy.
