refilling automatic tranny fluid on 94 integra. potential probs?
my girlfriend's 94 integra leaks automatic transmission fluid slowly over time. i think she let it leak too much this time around, and according to the dipstick, there's nothing left. at engine start-up, there is a loud squealing noise. we turned off the car and just left it there to refill tomorrow.
i'm not very familiar with mechanical stuff, but i figure i just need to refill the transmission fluid right? the dipstick looks like a dipstick + plug for the container opening, since the hole is pretty big. does it make sense to pour the AT fluid in there? is there anything i should be aware of when refilling the AT fluid when it's possible there is none left in the car?
i plan on getting more concrete info, like how much AT fluid i need and what kind and the recommended procedure for filling it up, but i wanted to know from you guys if there's anything in general that i should be aware of when dealing with a situation like this.
thanks in advance for any wisdom you guys got for me sorry for the noob question. i just don't want to break my gf's car

There is no real procedure... just dump the fluid down the dipstick
According to Amsoil the 94 Integra AT is
Automatic Transmission, MP7A Initial Fill..........2.9 quarts
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill 4 speed MP7A..........6.3 quarts
I'd start off with 1 quart; just because the dipstick isn't reading, does not mean the tranny is dry. Drop in half a quart, start the engine and check the fluid level, add more if you need to.
